Children and Youth
There are numerous ways for children and youth to be involved at Trinity.
In worship, children and youth are welcome to share in leadership through ministries of reading, lighting candles, bearing the processional cross, welcoming, visual arts, serving communion, participating in drama and dance, singing in a choir or playing a musical instrument.
In addition, there is a special Wee Worship service for families with very young children. Right after Wee Worship, we share a snack, followed by Sunday School at 10 am.
Confirmation class meets on Fridays at 4 PM. In addition, we offer classes for Holy Communion classes as desired. Please contact the church office at 212-22-7045 for more information.
Trinity also has a month-long Summer Day Camp in July.
Trinity Youth Group (TYG) meets at Trinity Lutheran Church/La Iglesia Luterana Trinidad on Friday afternoons from 4-6pm.
Youth between the ages of 12-19 gather for good food, fun events, and to discuss hot-topic faith issues concerning our lives today.
Some of our recent events have included ice skating in Central Park, MLK Jr. March for Peace, and visiting members of our congregation at their homes. One of our favorite questions to ask when we gather is, 'Where have you seen God this week?'
You're welcome to join us!
If you, or someone you know, are interested in coming to TYG and you would like more information, please contact Trinity's Vicar, Haley Vay, by calling our church office at 212-222-7045.
